What's the easiest way to become happy?

The easiest way to be happy???   Mmmmmmm....   just be.   It only takes a cookie for me to feel happy but to know eternal happiness is to know that our true nature is to be joyful.  Happiness is always there for us, we don't need a cookie or anything else to activate it, we must choose to exercise it.   The cookie just reminded me it was there.  Mmmmmmm...it's a good cookie too.

What was the last thing you made from scratch?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 19, 2007:

The last thing I made was for my Mother's Birthday present.  I bought a nice picture frame and I took two million pictures of myself until I found one that was perfect.  I took another picture of a sweet flower and I wrote her a poem.  I mounted it all together and it was really beautiful.  She cried of course but making it, writing it, brought up so many emotions for me.  Just the unconditional love and gratitude for her.  That was a surprise.

The swing of your dress on a summer Sunday

Picking dandelions for you in our front yard with care

The smell of your favorite perfume

Baking oatmeal cookies in the kitchen

I remember your strength and your love

You have been my shoulder to cry on

my confidant, my teacher, my angel, my Mother

I am so blessed to be your daughter

When was the last time you stayed up all night?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 21, 2007:

I used to live in Washington state on Vashon Island.  My best friend was pregnant and the doctors induced labor at 11:00 am on the 4th of January.  She lived over on the mainland so I had to take the ferry.  I got there at 12:30 pm and she didn't give birth until 12:05 that night with a 10 pound 5 and a half ounce baby boy.  I stayed at the hospital coloring pictures for the baby and it wasn't until four am that I left to catch the first ferry of the morning.  without even a catnap, I got back on the island and I had just enough time to shower and fly to work.  It was our first day back after the holidays.  Rough day too.

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 22, 2007:

I will put ice, mangoe, strawberries and bananas in a blender with some Oj. and whip myself up a fantabulous smoothie.  Maybe have a bowl of cranberry almond cereal and a slice of toasted artisan bread.  Open the blinds to let in the sun while I enjoy this beautiful day with snow covered trees and singing birds.  Watching the geese fly south as I eat my delicious breakfast.  Then I will probably sit on the couch with a blankie and a new book while the kitty Jinx runs frenetically with a toy in her paws.
