What was the last thing you made from scratch?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 19, 2007:
The last thing I made was for my Mother's Birthday present. I bought a nice picture frame and I took two million pictures of myself until I found one that was perfect. I took another picture of a sweet flower and I wrote her a poem. I mounted it all together and it was really beautiful. She cried of course but making it, writing it, brought up so many emotions for me. Just the unconditional love and gratitude for her. That was a surprise.

This is really great. I am in the process of preparing a Christmas present for my mother which involves photos and a story. It's in-process, and it helps to see that others have ventured similar quests!
Thanks to you both. I don't think she would mind Joe. Just keep in mind that I am not the poet this site has so many of. But it's from my heart. I'll post it as a blog.
